I am Sandra, a designer and textile artisan. At Caruma, I transform natural materials into handmade pieces to wear, care, live in and decorate with, bringing together comfort, functionality and timeless beauty.

My identity lies in simplicity: clean lines, balanced palettes and attention to detail in every stitch. Each piece is crafted by hand, with time, intention and quality, and can be customized in size and colors to suit the style of each person and each home.

The signature by Maria Carolina is a tribute to the two women who shape who I am: myself, who creates each piece, and my mother, who taught me my first crochet and knitting stitches when I was a child.

We talked a lot about this project — about ideas, colors, materials, the future. She left before the brand took shape, but she left me with the courage, drive, and confidence to bring it to life.

The signature by Maria Carolina is the most beautiful way I found to keep her with me in every creation, a silent yet profound presence that lives in every piece and every stitch.
